Exclamation Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground

Hello,

Don’t know if any of you have been there but Deb and I have enjoyed many trips to the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground on 276 in Caruso NC.

http://www.blueridgemotorcyclecamp.com/

For those of you who are far away or have never been there I hope that one day you have the chance to stop by and spend the night or three.

We are fortunate that it’s only about an hour away so many times we will just run up just for one night. We have meat lots of nice folks there over the years and love the roads in our back-yard.

Well Florida was not the only place that this Hurricane season dumped in. In case you didn’t know it started with “Frances” which took out their bridge, the only access to the campground. I have seen Doppler estimates that the valley got 17-18 inches of rain. Then Ivan, which we enjoyed on our way to the RA, and Jeanne, followed with even more damage.

Well some nice folks have decided to help the Johnson’s get everything back together. They are going to have a fund raiser, ride, camp, eat, drink, sleep, repeat on 11/05/04 and 11/06/04.

The 5th will be at 29 dreams resort in Vandiver, AL with a ride to High Valley Campground in Suches GA on the 6th. The cost is $100 per person for the whole thing! That’s 2 nights of camping, burgers, beer and a build the bridge t-shirt. From the looks of the flyer it is being put together by the BMW M/c Owners of AL. Their contact is Connie Reaves Alabeemer@aol.com . If you can only make one night no problem $50 per person. Just want to donate?? $30 for a t-shirt send a check to 29 dreams, 53707 Hwy 25 So, Vandiver, AL 35176 or what ever to Blue Ridge Motorcycle Camp, 59 Motorcycle Dr., Canton, NC 28716.

Details are at the BRMCCG web site.

Deb and I will not be able to make it to Alabama but hope to be in Suches.

This is a great place to visit with great folks who have lost their dreams. Let’s see if we can help them out.

Thanks

Wish I could make it.
I wish I could ride my usual route 215 to parkway and back down 276.
Maybe net year!
Good luck with the event!
I already miss some of the folks that stay there!
