Greetings from a new member. I just traded in a sled I can't ride anymore. The good news is that I have a Blue '07 650 Ninja. The bad news is I got it in mid September, put on 450 Kms, but there's snow on the ground. The bike is stored now, so l will spend the winter reading others' riding stories and tips. Good luck and safe riding to all.

I am a new 650 owner also. Purchased the bike in October of this year (whats left of it anyway). Love the low end torque of the parallel twin. Overall seems to be a great bike. Only rode 500 or so miles so far....

Red 650R in California
I purchased my 650r last June and put 6k miles on it before it got a little cold here. It is a great bike and I commute 150 miles a day on it when I am riding. Have been looking for others locally and have passed one on my way home but have yet to make contact with the person.

I bought mine in new in 2006. When I put it away for the year I had around 10,000 miles on it. Rode it to Seattle, through Oregon and into California. I haven't seen anybody with one in Montana yet I'm all alone up here!

adam, I spent three weeks in Helena a couple of years ago. Loved it! Great people and the weather was outstanding. Mind you, this was in the middle of August. The scenery was wonderful.
We took a trip to Glacier Park. I will never forget it.

Drur- That's cool you were up here. Do you have family in Helena? Montana is awesome in the summer. Nice roads with minimal traffic. Glacier is an awesome place. Did you make it to Yellowstone National Park?

I was in Helena for some Army Reserve training (Ft Harrison is right outside of town). Awesome time, loved the people and the mountains!

Just bought a 2008 Red One last night and I am extremely excited (Got a great deal too)! Pressure from friends (who ride) and my internal battle between my good sense and my heart (good sense won) made me choose this over a ZZR600 because it's bike #1 for me! I could have gotten a ZZR for only $300 more. I can't wait to get it home, waiting for dealer to get frame sliders for it. It is annoying me didn't look into today, he originally didn't believe there were good options that didn't need to cut the fairing.
Did any of you buy the Kawasaki Warranty? The tire and wheel warranty? I never buy extended warranties on cars, except I did buy (for $450) a tire and wheel warranty on my new Porsche because it has 19 inch wheels and 1 wheel is more than $450 (the tires are over $250 each) and the roads in New England are not kind!

I bought the Kawasaki Good Times Protection Plan and a local dealer labor warranty (Alamo Advantage Plan) that covers any labor on any work they perform. Meaning free oil changes for 3 years and free Kawasaki recommended maintenance for 3 years too. Right now my bike is in the shop and is waiting for a new radiator because it had a hole in it. They are paying everything under GTPP. I've already gotten over 1000$ of free work done on my bike in just maintenance alone. And it's only been a year that I've had it This free labor thingy cost me 1800. I believe I will get more than moneys worth. Plus, I'm the kind of guy who really likes to sleep good at night, if you get my drift. I don't know what I'm gonna do when the 3 years runs out! I am not getting a new bike, that's for sure.
Dude, you hava Porsche!? Kewl.

Hey SuperThor,
I didn't get the warranty with the maintenance, but I did the extended warranty at cost (supposedly). It sounds like you got a good deal, and maybe next time I will look at a warranty with maintenance. They want $186 for my 600 mile service.
And yes, it is my 2nd Porsche (a 2007 Cayman S). I like fast cars. Motorcycles are new to me!
