New here, and I am also picking my Passion Red 2008 250R on 4/17/08. I can not wait! I used to own an 1983 ex305, the a Vulcan 800 Classic, which I was forced to sell. Good thing though, I was too uncomortable with the weight and size. I was having issues with low speed turns, turns from a dead stop, and getting the bike upright from the kick stand position. I am 5'10" weighing in at 140 pounds.
I finally got the chance to purchase another bike, and recalled how I used to love the lightness and nimbleness of the Ex305. So, here I am, waiting to get all the insurance and registry stuff done, so I can pick the bike up Thursday.
I get to ride again, with comfort, and ease. I get to bring back the joys of riding, without the hassles of a larger bike. I drive a yaris, so you can see, I like compact transportations. I know I am gonna love the bike, and the gas milage I will get from it.

Whats goin on everybody, Im a new member and rider. I will be getting a '07 Ninja 250 in 2 weeks. I would have gone for the '08 but I did not want to learn on a brand new bike and risk damaging it plus my friend gave me a great deal on the '07. All comments and pointers will be greatly appreciated. When I get it, I will post pics.

New guy here. Just picked up a yellow 02 Ninja 250 a few weeks ago. Hope to learn a little more about street bikes. Lots of good info here. Glad to be a part of the fourm.

Newbie in South Jersey...
I have a rather bizarre request for any 250R owner who might be in my area of South Jersey. I'm just getting my permit, and I'm scheduled for my MSF course at the beginning of next month. Assuming all goes well, I'm looking to get an 08-09 250R for my first bike. Before I do so, I'd like to make sure I'm comfortable on one. I hit every dealer in the area today and did not find a single bike, not even one in for service. No one seemed to think they'd have one in the near future either. I know these bikes are scarce, but I thought I could find at least one.
Anyway, I have the chance to secure the 1st '09 at my dealer for $100, but before I do so, I'd at least like to make sure I'm going to feel comfortable. If there's anyone in my area who'd take 5 minutes to show me their bike I'd be eternally grateful. Not even looking for a test drive...I just want to sit and see if I like it. I'll even buy you a few gallons of gas for your time. Thanks for the help and pardon the newbie.

Picked up a 1999 Ninja 250 about 3 weeks ago, just got it back from the shop last week. it was not running as the person that had it b4 let it sit for 2 years without running it. Running great now and for $1000 I cant complain! Totally new to riding never been on a bike before, just started the MSF yesterday.
