Enlightenment needed

Ok let me start off by saying im not new to riding motorcylces.

Kind of cliche, what a squid would say... ive riden MX when i was young so i should be good on a 600 or w.e

Dont want to be that guy but i also dont want to be the guy that buys a CB250 then a month later saying its too slow, need a bigger bike etc.

Point is i need help... with these things
Im 5'5'' p.s. dont wear skinny jeans.
I like buying things new. Always been that way. Wont change.
Ive riden ktms dirtbikes and yamaha 4wheelers
But know nothing of street or supersport bikes
Prefer yfz cbr ktm,duke
No kawasaki

Please input your insite.

P.S. i have my eye on Aprilia RSV4 but will not buy it as my first bike.(dont want some to say "hey nice bike" *click-clank* and stall out as i say thanks.) Or over rev the masterpiece how i see over and over with many new ducati owners.

Thanks

Let's narrow your choices. 300? 500? 600?

Ok call me like you see it squid or not. I have done extensive research or what you may call it.

If i want speed i have a 2005 bmw 325ci track ready with 398whp and 445lbs torque. So i dont want to speed, but would like to have it handy.

Dont want... well scratch that. Dont need a leader bike yet.

More along the lines of 600-750
Anything more would be asking for trouble.
Plus i have a few trophys for MX racing along the Caribbean. But i was 9-15. KTM all the way. 85 but last 2wheels i was on... well in the dirt was 250. Age 16.

I am 24 with the mindset of an experience rider meaning im not looking for speed or wheelies or stunting just yet.

Last sport bike i was on was a 98 gsx-r 750 was comfortable but i only rode it in my nieborhood because like i said i am no hooligan that wants to show off on the street.

So recap:
Know the concept of bikes
Like speed, but dont need.
Want power.
Style over comfort (i am young and can handle 3 hours of w.e)
Plus i live in Miami. So heat is a factor.
Also new is preferred.

P.S. add what gear i should consider (no matter the cost) because ive gotten roadrash on a mountain bike and that was the worst month of my life and it was only on my face.

Well, Miami is flat and congested. I'd suggest THIS BIKE for everything you've described. It looks great, it's comfortable and it's fast enough so that you won't be bored and want to sell it next month.

Good luck.

Wow right on the nose.
Like i have stated, i have done research.
I have looked into superduke 1290
But somewhat a leader bike in sence that its above a 959.
Ktm on dirt life is personal favorite.
So would look into it.

Questions:
Have you ridden ktm?
Is it a Naked? (not to familiar with the term)
Whats the room for customization?

Off topic questions
How long should i wait before changing. (In terms of personal experience and buddy riders experience)
I will keep any bike i buy or car. (I never trade in) so will this be a good investment to my garage?
What do you ride?

Thanks for the help and it looks like a non-common mean hell of a bike.

When it comes to sportbikes, I've been a Honda guy as long as I can remember. Started with an F2, 900RR, then a whole bunch of CBR 1000's since. I currently still have the 900RR, and then a pair of CBR 1000's. One for street only and the other is race only.

I know nothing of KTMs other than my buddy has one of the on/off road models that he loves and then there's a guy in CCS racing that is blazing fast on his.

There are endless parts for customization, but don't ever think this type of motorcycle is an investment. It will lose value the second you drive it home and you'll never get the same return as you invest. But you'll have a sh*t ton of good times along the way. Change when you want to.
