ninja 250 or 500 (NOT a newb, former 650)

i had an 03 suzuki sv650s before, i got rear ended at a redlight and insurance totaled my bike. it's been a while since i ridden and i'm gettin that itch back. i got approved for $5k from the kawasaki 'good time' credit dealie.

so my question is which bike should i get 250-otd 3400 or 500 otd-5100.
obviously the 500 would seem like the logical choice for me since i had a 650 but price is significant for me because i only want to keep the bike for bout a year then upgrade to a 600ss.

if you had a 650 I don't think you would be happy with the 250 so I would go with the ex500, or maybe look around for a used bike and get a loan from the bank instead.

Find an EX500 that's a couple years old and pay cash if you can. Ride it for awhile and sell, then return to the 650.
