In Louisiana: Courses 12 months of the year about $100. Wait ranges from 3 weeks to 2 months depending on location.

I didn't have to wait at all, I just chose and date and paid. Sounds like some of you guys have it rough. It's no wonder why there are so many squids out there, you've got to wait 3 months to take the BRC when it takes less than 3 hours to buy a new bike.

yah...in south florida theres tons of locations in dade and broward combined...so theres really no excuse other than u dont wanna travel 45-60 minutes for 3 days...i wanted to take the course and get it outta the way so i can go ridin, so i dealt with the long drive and just went ahead and took it

Wow! I can't believe it's that expensive for you guys. Here in Indiana it's $50 for the course, and you can actually get $25 of that refunded after the course if you so choose. (It's for a 1 year ABATE membership.) The thing that sucks is the wait time. If you sign up anytime after May you'll be lucky if you get in this year. When I went I got extremely lucky. I was about to sign up for an August class and decided to go and try to be a walk-on. I went up there around 4:45, at 6:00 I was taking the class with all of the other pre-registered students.
