Default How Much Insurance Usually?

I am 22 y/o male with no speeding tickets nor any wrecks that are claimed under my insurance. What is the usual rate for insurance, I looked at like Geico and Progressive Quote online and they are saying annual is 1600.00??? why so much what do you all pay

You might want to look at Dairyland insurance.

Damn, that's ridiculous. I'm 22/Male and I live in a "high-risk" area. Like you, no tickets. I don't think I put collision, but I have comprehensive ($500 deductible or something). 2002 250R, $400 per year. Maybe it's because you are getting a quote for a brand new bike? I don't know, though, the MSRP is only $3500 for an 08 250R. Seems ridiculous.

I pay $800 a year for full coverage and I'm 34 with a perfect driving record.I need to check State Farm,I hear they are cheap on bikes.

19 years old clean record they quoted me $540 for an 07 r6 liability only, i think it was like an extra $200 to get comp with a $1000 deductible. Not bad but i had my dad get a quote for himself and it came out to like $290 liability only. Keep in mind that this is for 100/300 insurance, not the bare minimum 20/40 crap (might be different in your state, i'm talking about CT though). BTW, 50/100 is probably the way to go for insurance, I wouldn't get anything less if you want to be decently covered.

Geico sucks for bike insurance prices. Progressive for a EX500 is $360 a year.

Most people you finance from will not let you have a $1000 deductable, they want you to be able to fix the bike.

Quoted from State Farm. 21 year old male nothing on my record. This is full coverage (we didn't go over it but I asked for full coverage).

They go by cc's:
500-600cc: $411 year about $35/month
601-700cc: $577 year about $48/month

Kind of gay that insurance is cheaper for a 600ss or rr than a sv650 or ninja 650 but whatever.

i would get an agent if i were you. they can quickly search policies through multiple companies. saves you a lot of leg work. i love mine. fact is, with bikes, you can get quotes for the same coverage that can differ by thousands of dollars.

i always go for high limits and high deductibles. insurance is there to fix the catastrophic. besides, why pay for a 500 dollar deduct. if you aren't even going to claim $500 in damage due to premiums shooting up?
