Default what amp to charge this battery

i have a YT9B-4 battery and a battery charger that is a 2 / 10 / 50 amp whats setting should i set it on to charge my batt? Thanks.

2 if you have a few hours, 10 if you don't, but if its not an automatic charger, keep a very close eye one it. at the 10 amp setting, it will boil the acid if you leave it on too long. never use the 50 amp setting for anything other than a starter assist.

i always charge mine at 2 amps. i'll use 10 as the starter assist and it works fine.

yeah i ended up just using a cars battery while the car was off

that wasn't very smart. all you did was take one charged battery, and one discharged battery and turn them both into half charged batteries. may have still been enough to start the vehicles but its hard on batteries to discharge them in such a way. if you were going to use the car battery, its best to run the car and let the alternator keep them both charged.

batteries are used to start and run the electrical system of vehicles, chargers are used to charge batteries. use the right tool for the job. it'll make life easier.
