New Rider ForumsJust joining the motorcyclist hobbie? Looking to get some information about a first bike? Or have some newbie questions. Are you new to the website?
I know someone selling a 2008 ninja 250r black for 2500, it has 700 miles on it and has been laid down with damage to one side. Is this a good deal or should I attempt to talk them down due to the damage.
Any damage to the frame or anything? Take somebody that has experience with bikes..
If It was me.. I would probably shop around.. see how much it would cost me to fix the bike..
See if it would a lot of money.. etc
Assuming two things (that there's no mechanical damage, and you're okay with the cosmetic damage) it's a great price considering these things are reportedly going for over MSRP new, and there's often a waiting list.

Thats why people say buy used and small. The 08 zx10r I went and checked out today, he had a 08 250 and he sold it to the first person for 3000. He was asking 3 so thats a pretty good deal for a bike with 200 miles and the fact that most dealers can not get a 250 and already all their 250s they are getting spoken for.

If everything works and there are no scratches on the frame, then it is probably a good deal. If the plastic is only scratched and not cracked, so much the better.

I think you should let me buy it. I'll fix it and sell it and you can be happy knowing that you helped me out. Deal? All jokes aside, you should definetely buy it. You can get a whole set of plastics for under $1000 and still be at $3500 all together. That's if you even need all of them. You won't find one for less than that used. I'd jump all over it.
