Do you want an ORIGINAL title?
I'm looking at buying a motorcycle. I'm specifically looking at the SV650.
My background: I ride a bicycle every day, in the worst traffic imaginable (parking lots in a very crowded casino), I have ridden dirtbikes a few times. I drive a fast car. Does any of this matter? Probably not at all.
I'm 6'3, 290 pounds, and it ain't all muscle. I am looking to buy for two reasons: My car is my baby, and she already has 25k miles on her. It's been a year and two months that I've had her. At gas going for $3.89 for 91 octane, which is what she requires, it hurts everytime I fill up. About once a week. Girlfriend lives 20 miles away, work is 20 miles the other direction, and I do both 7 days a week.
The second reason is: Last year, my brother took his own life. He and I always wanted streetbikes together, but we never got the chance. My Dad also rides. He has a Suzuki Boulevard, and while a nice bike, not my style. My family and I are trying to "live life to it's fullest" if you will, and I would love to ride with my Dad.
I have sat on a buddies Ninja 250, and it was just very very small for me. Very small. Uncomfortably so.
Any other recommendations on bikes for a guy my size?
P.S... I have read the 600cc thread, and I do agree with it. I have also heard people singing praises for the SV650 for a new rider... So....

An SV650 would be fine for you as long as you have your head on straight. It sounds like you do.
Beats me what you mean by an original title. As long as the bike runs well and has a good, legal title you can get put in your name, it doesn't matter if you start with the MSO (never titled before), a clean title from the previous owner, a salvage title, or what.

He meant original title for the thread I believe.
If you think riding a sv650 will save you on gas money, look closer. Unless your car gets <10mpg or something really crappy, a bike won't save you that much. Chains, lube, oil, tires, forkseals, etc all add up quickly on maintence cost.

But all those expenses are painless. A tank of gas in a car is painful. So there you have it.

Precisely...
Anyhow... I drive an '07 Volkswagen GTI, Black, 2 door. Definetly not the fastest car, but fun in the twisties (that's like telling a fighter pilot that a cessna is fast, I guess) and very fun to drive.
I'm not specifically looking to actually pay any less for anything. I'm just looking to NOT replace my car in a few years because it has a million miles on it. I figure If I can ride the bike 90% of the time, I will take thousands of miles off the car. And, I then have the bonus of being able to enjoy myself in the mountains, which is what I want to try. Ortega Hwy, Palomar Mountain, Los Angeles Crest, and tons of other twists and turns are within an hour from my house. Hell, Ortega is about 10 miles away, and Palomar is about 20 from my job. Not to mention Anza and the upper 79.
