nice choice. good thing you got an opinion on the situation rather than taking the dealers word for it.

get it if you want, but you're gonna lose a good chunk of money as soon as you drive it off the lot. If you buy something older/used you can sell it 6mos or a year from now for close to what you paid for it if you want to move up. Financing something new you're pretty much committing yourself long term, but if it's what you want, go for it. A secured or non-secured loan through a bank would surely have a better interest rate than the dealership if you're planning on financing through them... At least with the 650 you won't be in such a hurry to upgrade due to it being a dog like the 250, so it should hold you over for a while. I'm sure meangreenzxr would approve!

That's cool, as backwards as it sounds, the reason a lot of people get new bikes is the easy financing, and they don't have the cash to buy a used one outright, and they get themselves into a world of hurt. If you got the cash, go for it. Good luck!

Yeah I suppose a one piece would have the girls all over ya... can't have that. Jealous boyfreinds and all that. (lol)
I will admit I like the 650R. It was on my short list. They sound very nice with pipes

I would get a more universal jacket. I got a green kawi jacket for my zx6r and now that I got tons of bikes I look goofy wearing it riding my non-kawis. This is why I only buy black/white/grey jackets now. They go with all my bikes no matter what I ride.
