hey im 13 and im ganna try getting a license 4 a bike...im a male..bout 140lbs and im wondering wat shold my 1st bike be?

Interesting, what about insurance rates on a 14 year old with a motorcycle? *cringe*

Before you do anything, take the MSF course!

I've heard good things about the Ninja 250s for starters. Plenty fast, inexpensive, and should be cheap to insure, and they're not that ugly anymore! Otherwise find a nice old used 400cc Honda or something on Craigslist to learn on.

+1 on the MSF, then look at something on the 600cc range.

At your age i would get a Dirt bike i know alot of people that started off with Dirt Bikes

If you are in Alabama, law has you stuck with 150cc or less.......

I would stick to something off road for a few years and then take on a street bike.
