Motorcycle out in the hot sun
What do you do when you have to park out in the hot a$$ sun during the summer? I don't want to put my a$$ on that hot leather. Seriously?

And you think that during December?? That's what I call planning...
Seriously though, I park in any shadow available and I pray that the birds wont "target practise" on my bike. Can't really do anything else

Are you talking about the seat of the bike being too hot? Not much you can do aobut that. Just pretty much suck it I guess. That's about the only advice other than trying to find some shade to park under, but that's pretty hard to do most of the time. It's just part of riding.

I wonder if modifying a car sun shade to cover the seat would help any, kinda like a tonneau cover.

the seat has never gotten hot enough to bother me through a pair of riding pants.
I'm usually more concerned with the kickstand digging in when i'm parked on hot asphalt.

another trick: small white towel, big enough to cover the seat and small enough to fit under the seat or in your tank bag or whatever you may have...

That's usually somewhere around number 87 out of the top 100 things I worry about. Sucking it up is the easiest thing to do. Fuck parking under trees. My bike was shitted on 23 times last night. I spent over an hour delicately removing all of it and used half a gallon of simple green in the process. My bike still smells like shit and I'll probably have to take the seat off to clean it more thoroughly. I'd rather have a hot bike than a cold one covered in bird shit. Maybe that's only in downtown areas.

I know it's a weird time of year to ask, but I just thought of that. I was just thinking ahead as I wait for the new ninja to appear at the dealers.
