Default About damn time!!

Hey!
so, i haven't been on in a looooong while.
but ya know, my fiance has a 99 virgin r6, and i always say i'm gunna get one eventually...well..some sort of sportbike.
well, in idaho we have the star program, ya know..basic classes [and some experienced classes] for motorcycles.
i'm finally signin up!

damn took me long enough.
i mean, i love riding and everything, i wanna say almost as much as he does.
haha
but i'm sick of bein in the back. hahaha.
its fun, no doubt, but its about time i get my rear end up in front.
i've been readin a bit, and i've noticed that the ninja 250 would be an "ok" bike to start off with.
i know i'm gunna get a feel for the cruisers while taking the classes, but i'm really lookin foward to gettin a sportsbike.
of course i like the r6, but...i have some in mind.
2002 Suzuki SV650
02 or 04 Ninja 250
I saw a really nice Katana 600 the other day, but i'm not entirely sure if that'd be a great bike to start on, ya know?
opinions?

i have the help of my fiance, but its nice to get more info from outside sources.
i'm trying not to enter this whole thing blindly.
help would be most appreciated.

Welcome back Burnout!!!

Yup, you will never go wrong on the ninja 250 or 500. The half liter suzuki is a good choice as well.

Let us know how you make out!!

Welcome back burnoutbabe!

The ninja would be a great bike to start out with, or a GS500. I'd steer clear of the katana. It's really heavy and no fun for a new rider.
