ok, i am looking around for a beginner bike like the ninja 250, but i don't know how much they worth, i want to get a good deal on it so maybe half or one year later, i won't lose a whole bun.
for example, how much this one worth?
06 ninja 250, yellow, never down, 2000miles on it, what's the price range?
03 ninja 250 red, dropped, some scratches but not too bad, 12000 miles on it. what is the price range?

For the 06 you're going to be looking at probably at LEAST $2500. Probably more like $2700.
For the 03, I wouldn't pay anything more than about $1800 for it...but that's just me. Dropped bikes with 12,000 miles on them and "some scratches" aren't worth that much.
For what it's worth, I got my 02 after it had FELL OVER in a garage...it was completely repainted though, so it looks good as new. It has about 8,000 miles on it, and I got it for $1400. I think I got it for a steal though. I'm fairly certain I could sell it for at least $1800 if I wanted to...but I'm keeping the little fucker.

Does anyone know if Kawi will ever update the ninja 250 for the U.S. market?
dont count on it. if you could make a ton of money without doing any work, would you put in the effort?
until they have serious competition, hyosung isn't, they wont have to do a thing.
I can live with the styling, the only thing that bugs me the most is the old school square headlight. I wish there was a way to make a front end look sleeker.
but since most people use it for a season to learn anyways, its not a big deal. I can deal with looking like a dork for a few thousand miles, then upgrade to a nicer bike, but the experience you'll have will save your skin.

my 06 yellow 250 with 1200 miles on it cost me $2,100 bucks. said it wasn't down but theres a scratch on the right bar end. no biggie.
then another guy wanted to sell me his 06 silver 250 which had 4,700 miles on it for $2,800. so needles to say i went with the yellow 250.
and about the square head light...kinda wish i could change that up.
how about a green one like new condition, never down, no scratch, year 2002 8000 miles and put on non operate for $1700? is that a heck of a good deal? if i put another couple thousand miles on it and drive it half year, can i still sell it for that amount?
The 06 is gonna be worth around $2.1-3K depending on how well it is kept up. The 03' is less than $1500.

Value is based on demand. There is a high demand here and few new ones out there so I had people willing to pay the price of a new one when I sold one of mine.
