you or the handlebars stiffen up? i believe which ever your dominant hand is, it'll naturally be easier to make a turn in that direction. otherwise focus on countersteering (push right go right, push left go left). remember to sit in a position where your arms are slightly bent, straight arms aren't good for steering.

if it's not a rider issue, bring it back to the dealer where you bought it and ask them to check the steering head. if the handlebars don't turn smoothly in one direction they may need to check/lube the steering bearings...

hope that helps.

TURN YOUR HEAD more! Look further thru those right handers and keep your eyes up!

You just might need some rider training..

Have you taken a rider education course?

I was initially going to say it might be because right-handers are generally tighter turns. Then I realized you were likely in the UK. Is it because of staring at oncoming traffic then? In any case, most new riders have more trouble with turns in one direction over the other.

If you were here in the US, i'd suggest some time practicing turns in an open, clean parking lot out of traffic. Not sure a multi-story car park would provide the same benefit, but you get the idea. Get more comfortable controlling the bike away from traffic. Repitition is key to build muscle control.

I think some rider training would do you well if you have not taken it already. If you have then go out to a parking lot and just practice the truns slowly. Just remember slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
