Default Info on buying a bike

I am planning of buyingmy first bike this winter. I heard bikes are a little cheaper in the off season. I dont what brand of bikes I should be looking as a starter bike. I know i want a blue bike that not older than 01.

I really like the gsx750. my budget is 4000. Where can i go to learn about what brands have no promblems and etc.

some of my corcerns are, how am I going to get the bike home? How will I or my freind who rides test ride the bike if its the winter?

As everyone will tell you, a GSXR750 is NOT a good starter bike, especially if you have never ridden before.

If you want something blue, look at the Suzuki GS500F ;)

+1 to that. I have a GS500F and they are sweet. Very good bikes to start and learn on, and you can find them used for around 2800 so that saves you plenty of money for gear/insurence.

The GSX or GSXR750 would be a bad first bike.

I gather from your post that you have not taken a rider education course. Take the MSF course or a private course.

Start on a smaller bike (under 600CC) for a few years as well. Learn how to ride properly so you don't become another post in the fallen riders forum.
