Default Tracks in Pennsylvania

Just bought a bike over thanksgiving and plan on doing the MSF basic course in may/beginning of june. Wanted to know if there were any tracks about an hour or two away around the West Chester, Pennsyvania area (Chester County) to improve my skills on the bike.

The only one that I can tell you that would be within the area is Pocono. I have been to that track before for a NASCAR race. Now before I get flamed that was before I was into bikes.
The other track that is in PA that I know if is Bever Run. I think that is out by Pittsburgh. You can check their website and they should have directions.

You really might want to learn how to ride on the street before you even think about racetracks.

I have learned to ride but want to get better at it. I thought going to tracks is a good way to practice? I'm not looking to race, just to practice cornering, braking and leaning the bike.

Grouped trackdays are not for those who aren't comfortable already with riding at a brisk pace.

You need to go to a new rider school at this point, it sounds like.

I don't think I know what you mean by a new rider school....are you referring to the MSF? I plan on taking that after my spring semsester is over. Or did you mean something else?

Well, what i'm trying to say is that unless you're going to a specific new rider school on the track, you really should get some seat time before going onto the track. Seriously inexperienced riders are a hazard to themselves and everyone else..
