This motivation makes me suspect that you won't be mature enough for any bike anytime soon. I'd be less concerned if you'd written something like, "I just want to ride a fun bike. I'll ride a 500 until it's no longer a hoot, and if I feel safe and in control I'll look around for a more powerful bike."
But you didn't. So...
... let's dig a bit deeper. A couple of other posters have asked, "Why?" Great question. Let's be honest - you're a sixteen-year-old male in high school. This is all about getting chicks, isn't it?
So don't get a bike.
Get a horse.
Trust me on this. Get a horse, board it at a local stable, and start hanging out there after school and on weekends. You'll probably be the only guy, and you'll be surrounded by (mostly) cute, athletic teenage girls. They'll all have daddies with enough bucks to endulge them with horses, fancy tack, travel to horse shows, etc. They'll be attired in skin-tight English riding breeches or sprayed-on cowgirl jeans. Most of them will be from good families and be fairly well educated, for teenagers.
And they'll dig a guy who also loves horses (fake it if you have to).
So trust me on this. Forget about bikes.
Buy a horse.

You're never too old to have a happy childhood.
But that didn't last forever and a guy who was interested in them was more interesting to me than any other guy.
Well, a lady's definition of forever and a gentleman's may be quite different.
Let's see, I had my first horse at 3 and still didn't get layed until....oh, never mind.

Sportbike: want zx6r after i learn to ride
why?
its just a goal date that i set, nothing more, nothing less. its not like im jumping directly on the 600..i will have ridden the 500 for a while and hopefully have enough experience.
also how does me wanting the skill to ride a 600 by september show that im immature. im actually far from it. i think that my goal shows maturity because i would be starting out on the 500 and taking the msf courses.
