New Rider ForumsJust joining the motorcyclist hobbie? Looking to get some information about a first bike? Or have some newbie questions. Are you new to the website?
Go with something you feel comfortable with. A 600cc is a dime-a-dozen, but some will rape your wallet (GSX-R 600 comes to mind). I ride a 650r, and love it - I am switching to drag bars pretty soon though (ride height and all), but it's a very nice, comfortable and smooth bike, once you figure out the rear shock.
If I had my way, maybe an R6 (Yamaha), or possibly a Ninja 636 (very sweet 600 class bike from Kawa). Hondas are nice, but if you look at price range, they're they really think highly of their bikes (a 599 for $7K? Nice bike, but, c'mon, it's a 599cc bike). If you're spending the money and want a lot of performance, maybe a GSX-R 600 - pricey, but if you're ready to rip it up, this is the one.

Since my hubby rides as well he thinks a f4i is a good one as well.
I am trying to talk him into letting me have his 954 and him stepping up but that isn't looking to good. haha We were thinking of maybe picking us up two cruiser style bikes just for something a little more laid back. I said that was ok but I am keeping my sportbike no matter what.
Well I find that the 250 is a little light for me and since I am only 98lbs, maybe something with a little more weight to it won't make me wobble when big trucks and such pass by me. ( I know, I know, I should be passing them but I have 2 little girls so I play it safe-----usually)
Welcome to SBN. If your looking for something a bit more sturdy(and this is just from my experience) but i found my Kawa zx-6 to be a lot more stable then my buddies cbr 600 f2, probably because mine is a bit bigger and heavier. I have heard good things about the YZF600 though i have yet to ride one,but if your looking for power and maximum performance gsx-r 600 is the way to go, though as said before a lil pricier.
