New Rider ForumsJust joining the motorcyclist hobbie? Looking to get some information about a first bike? Or have some newbie questions. Are you new to the website?
Hey I'm new to the site. I live in Hilliard, Ohio and just moved up here last year from Cincinnati. What an upgrade  I've got a 2mos old daughter who is my world.
I currently do not have a bike, but am looking to purchase one in the near future. Right now I'm just looking for a used beginner's bike to start with until I get comfortable with it again. It's been like 6 years since i've drove a bike so I'm a little rusty.
If any one has any suggestions on bikes, please feel free to tell me.

You joined the site because I dragged you here to look at my "I shaved my roommate's dog" thread! Good to know some good came of it besides a ton of laughter.
Welcome to the site. An EX500 or 250, or a SV650 would be a good choice. If you haven't taken the MSF previously, it would be a good call, even for the break in insurance.
Sweet another Ohio rider!!! Welcome to SBN.. enjoy your stay!

The act of riding is a form of meditation, because the concentration that's required to safely ride a motorcycle tends to focus the mind in a way that eliminates other mental distractions that might interfere with the mission. This creates a single-mindedness that, in effect, displaces the continuous stream of thoughts that normally flow through our consciousness.

You said we used to ride? How long did you ride for? What did you ride? Can't really answer your questions until we know more about your abilities.
I never got my license for it or anything... so naturally I never took the bike out on the main road. I learned how to ride on some little Honda bike that my uncle had... since he lived in the middle of no where at the time, it was easy to ride. My dad taught me. It wasn't a sport bike... seeing as every one in my family has harley's lol. I honestly don't know exactly what kind of bike it was. Just that it was made by honda.
and NO i do not have a frickin laser beam on my head. After all... I'm not a shark.
