I have two ZX7's, both are 91's, neither are the R model though. I just bought the second one to fix up and sell. So far i have loved my ZX7. it has pretty good power so i can try to keep up with my friends on their new 600's, and is really smooth on the twisties. Here is a good site with info about the ninjas:

It says they have 20 extra horses at the crank(compared to the J-model), larger carbs, racing tranny, fully adjustable rear shock, and a lighter tank. If you can get it for a decent price i would say go for it. I haven't seen another one of these on the road yet. The original plastics are very expensive, even on ebay, but the aftermarket ones aren't bad. My bike is fairly hard to wheelie, compared to newer bikes. It flies off the line though, and the rear always feels planted when hard on the gas. Another 20 HP might change that a little though
Post pics if you can, and oh yeah wear gear, take the MSF, pace yourself, and all that other good stuff
And welcome to SBN.
