New Rider ForumsJust joining the motorcyclist hobbie? Looking to get some information about a first bike? Or have some newbie questions. Are you new to the website?
my friend is selling her 250 for $1000 but i can talk her down to like $900. i needs a new windscreen, left mirror and clutch handle. its a 94 with 12k miles on it. i was think about riding this very early in the riding season so i can step up to a bigger 600 bike(i.e. kat or something, not like a r6 or anything) because I don't like the way the 250 feels when I ride it and i just don't think its comfortable. I was talking to my mom about getting a bike and she was considering co-signing for a loan in january to get a used bike like a cbr f2,f3, ect. ot a kat. And I know in january that people are like basically giving bikes away especially in my area.

no, i'm about average a little under 6 foot. I don't know why, i just don't feel comfortable.it's kinda just like one of those things, you sit on the bike and usually you can tell right away wether you like it or not. did anyone else have this problem? will i eventually just get used to it.

I dont know exactly where Lowell Ohio is, but I'm selling a 250 Ninja near Ann Arbor MI for $1000 as well. Its a 93, with only 7600 miles on it. Doesn't need any parts and it runs great. I'l be willing to meet you halfway if you're interested. Check out the Michigan classifieds forum for pics and most info.
I'm just curious, but have you ever sat on a 600? I love my 250 because of the more upright position. It feels comfortable and no pressure on my wrist. Once I get on my F4i, it's a whole different story. I took a 4 hour ride and I couldn't get rid of the soreness in my back and ass for 2 days...
I have to disagree, I barely fit on a 250, and am uncomfortable on it nomatter what. I rode one for quite some time, and never got much more comfortable on it. An 04-05 GSX-R600 or 05-06 ZX-6R feels like it was made for my body exactly, and with the corbin on the GSX-R, I can ride for hours and hours with no pain.

let me rephrase that...I guess it all depends on personal preferences...that's why I asked if MC_jr has ever sat on a 600. Considering I'm about MC_jr's size, I felt my experience might shed some light on his thinking process....
btw, if you want comfortable...get a sport-tourer/cruiser...j/k...don't tell anyone I said that...
my 250 felt small to me when i first got it. i had an 88 ninja 6 before it. i got used to it. i have clipons now, so i lost my upright position, but its still more comfortable than my 600. i like it a lot more too.

ya i sat on a 600 and like IMPerfection said it seems like it was made more for my body. the bike I sat on was lowered a little bit and that might of helped because i could hold the bike up flat footed. As for postioning I've sat on more upright bikes (i.e. buell's) and I loved them. I just don't find the 250 comfortable.
