Im in love w/ the 650R, i think it would be the perfect learner bike, what u think?

well its not for sure... but they consider the sv650 as a start small bike, and this is pretty much the same thing......just wondering.......what do u pros think?

An SV650 is a marginal starter bike. The 650R would probably fall in the same category since both are twins. I don't know if parallel twins have different power characteristics than v's or not.

One thing to keep in mind is that the 650R is fully faired. There will be some damage if you drop it.

Well, at least Kawi is doing something good for the beginners or semi-beginners, which is giving them a halfway decent looking bike as an option. Looks pretty cool to me! If it's similar to the SV650 in overall response and characteristics it should be a great learner bike. Or perhaps something to jump on after a Ninja 250.

As a 250 rider this is gonna be my next bike. This is the bike I've been waiting for! I really dont like the sv, I really dont want a ss, and hell will have a cold front before I get a cruiser. I cant wait to see this bike in person.
