I'd like to start out by saying hello to everyone. A friend sent me the link to this forum and as a female, I don't know if there are places I'm not "suppose" to go to. Basically, I've been clicking around just reading everything people are saying.

I must say that I agree with everything that's been said about starting out with a smaller bike....all the arguments and the justifications for starting small just make logical sense. I'm a VERY new rider, less than a month and I bought an '05 Suzuki GS500F. I didn't even consider buying a larger bike. My 500 is great to learn on because of the bars being up higher, giving a much better turning radius. Looking at the 600's that friends have, the thought of not having the manueverability kinda spooked me. I'm new and have to learn to lean to turn the bike...it's just not a natural thing to do. So far, I've logged over 300 miles and am working hard on getting 400. I never realized how addictive riding can be.

Welcome to the club. Sounds like you're riding safe and have a good bike that you're comfortable w/ as a starter. Keep reading, learning, and riding (just as you're doing ).

Its highly addictive. I only drive my truck when I absolutely must.

damn, when will newbs realize that people will tell you anything to get you to buy their bike. especially a private seller. the only variable is whether or not they realize they're feeding you bs that could end you. anyway, do what you want.
