first night is all classroom stuff..
Next morning you meet up in the parking lot where you get your bikes and start on basics.. and first you go in a straight line.. back and forth.. then they mix in some turns.. in the afternoon you go back into the classroom and take the written portion.. wasn't very hard at all.. no one failed.. most missed was 4 questions (and this guy was pretty dumb)..
3rd day you do more riding.. get into doing tight figure 8's and emergency breaking.. stuff like that.. at the end of the day you take the riding test.. which is everyone you did before.. after you pass, they give you a certificate that you take to the DMV.. DMV will issue you the "M" endorsement without you having to take their test.
That's how it was here in Colorado.. might be slightly different in other areas
Some insurance companies do give you a discount.. mine don't.. I use USAA.. I called and said "I passed my MSF" ..they said "Good for you"
