Those just don't seem to adequately capture how durn slow I was.
Especially that last one, with me lined up against the Busa.
Oddly enough, my fastest run of the day was... um... my second (EVER). But the only run that might actually qualify as a race and not a taillight viewing was when I ran against suzukichic... of course, even she reeled me in by the time we were done... I'll have to spend some time doing a full tuneup on the Seca and see what kinds of improvement I can get. Best of 14.3 just doesn't seem right...
What the hell... still lots of fun, though my butt is still numb from the ride back..
Gutterboy - What was your 60 ft times. I'm betting they were 2.5's or slower. Am I right?
No offense at all, but I'm betting it's more you than the bike. Virtually any bike is capable of 1.90 60 ft times or better. Rider is the limiting factor. For instance, I suck. My best 60 ft time is a 2.0x. Terrible for my bike. It was your first time at the track though, so don't beat yourself up about it. Just get more practice (assuming you LIKE drag racing and want to do it again).
Big props to Tony (suwand28). His first time ever at a drag strip, with a bike that doesn't make much more HP than mine, and he's putting down 1/4 mile times that embarras me and my bike. My best of the day was 11.70. His was 11.4x. I've been to the track no less than 10 or so times on a bike, and he's NEVER been, yet manages to spank my times! And I really don't think it's just that his bike makes ~10 hp more than mine. His 60 ft times were better than mine as well! Good job bro. Hope you come back out again to spank up on me some more.
If any of the others care to know what their bike SHOULD run to set yourself a goal of what you want, I'll post up a general rule of what they'll run. If you don't care, and just like going to have fun, that's fine as well. ;)
How'd everyone like it? Good enough to go again? I had a blast again.
