Default Boots required?

I don't own 1 pair of boots. (weird huh)

I have tons of basketball sneakers, hightops that cover the ankle. Is this enough or do I need to go buy a pair of boots for the class?

As long as they cover your ankle, you're fine.

may depend on your instructor. They sent someone home first day for not wearing boots in my class (oddly they let the girl in the skirt stay ;-) )

I wore cowboy boots 'cause I didn't have other over the ankle ones. They didn't like it, but didn't kick me out.

As stated above, as long as it covers your ankles you should be fine. That's how it was for my class at least.

For the class they will be fine. For anything else, I would recommend real boots of some sort.

Think you don't need boots? WARNING - GRAPHIC!

In my class they actually loan out all of the equipment you need. I borrowed boots, gloves, and a helmet. I will be buying all of the appropriate gear though when i get my bike though.

I would go ahead and buy some boots your going to need them might as well get them now so there is no problems. Tennis shoes suck for riding I work in the Daytona Beach area and have ran on numerous motorcycle wrecks during bike weeks. Just about every person that was wearing shoes where missing them and had broken ankles but people that had boots where okay. Definatly worth the money to get the boots.
