Default Man, she was fast!

We had a young female in the MSF class this weekend who was by far the best rider I've ever seen on the range, including me and the other rider coaches. At one point in the curve negotiation exercise, I pulled her over and told her to slow down, because she was going so fast I was afraid she was going to exceed the traction limits of the little on/off road yami. For you ridercoaches, we timed her at a 2.36 on the test after she slowed down alot. Ridiculous.

I love doing the demo for negotiating curves on one of the dr 200's we have. Since you can get so much lean angle on that thing it helps to inspire some confidence in the students to lean the bike.

Haven't run into any students that I have had to slow down thru that exercise yet though. Usually telling them to speed up...

How much prior experience did she have? Or was that her first time on a bike?

It wasn't her first time, but I don't think she had a ton of experience. She asked a lot of questions that were kinda newb-like.

Yep, that's partly why it was so funny. She was a rocketship.

We didn't have the stopwatch out, but she was significantly faster than 2.36.
