Default Know NOTHING about manual, will I be okay at the MSF?

Well, Im headed to the MSF soon, just wondering if they teach you manual shifting? Whats it like from someone who has never used manual shifting before?

Thanks!

you probably won't shift on the first day. they will introduce you to the clutch slowly, making sure you have a grasp on letting it out slowly and giving gas. you should be fine.

When I took the MSF course there were people that that knew absolutely nothing about anything on two wheels, so I wouldn't worry if I were you.

I am sort of worried about my MSF class. I know I can handle the shifting, as I drive a manual car (taught myself ) and have shifted on a bike before. But my extremely limited experience doesnt include the things such as swerving, and I am expecting far worse than i think it actually is.

I just got done with my first (of two) day on the range/classroom. They go through everything you will need to know to get the bike around. The ONLY advice I would give is to practice on a bike a little before the class just to get the two wheel thing down well enough so you can focus on learning what they teach instead of actually riding on two wheels.

as long as you dont have an iq of a rock, you should be fine. these driving tests are so simple.

they have some practice test questions online at the msf site. its so easy, though you wont need it, but you could if you want.
