TN has no set cost it's determined by the one providing the course. Mine cost me $110. At the time I took mine, another one I checked was $150.

Ill. must have a bunch of money budgeted for the program. It was free in LA at one time but the funds would run out early .

One good reason to be a PA resident
A lot of people here re-take the course every few years for the fun of it.

Not sure where you got that pricing from for NJ. I paid $225 back in Sept. There are also free courses available, but the sign up list is pretty long.

Community colleges, Harley Dealers and others charge between 275 and 295. State courses are dwindling and nearly impossible to get into. They charge 150, up this year from 100.

IL is spoiled it didn't cost me a thing. NIU actually gave the course to us. $20 and you can request the money back.
