Too Human

Has anyone played Too Human yet? It looks kinda cool. I've been waiting for a co-op hack and slash RPG for the 360 for a long time. It has gotten decent reviews and I'm looking for something to play with the fiancee.

We have played Champions of Norrath, Baldur's Gate, Guild Wars, and we are looking forward to Fable 2, but I was wondering if this was worth our money and time or if we should just wait on Fable 2.

Just go on Xbox Live and download the demo. It's been out for like a month.

I thought the demo was cool, but after reading the reviews I don't think I'm going to buy it. $60 for a game that lasts at most 12 hours is a bit of a letdown to me.

This damn game has been in production since the original playstation, and now that its out, HUGE let down. I played the demo, sucked. I expected so much more. So much for big expectations.

I actually am a fan of the combat...but I could see where it'd be love it or leave it.

Where I get hung up on actually buying the game is that I'm hearing that people are finishing it in about 9 hours. I really can't justify spending $60 for a game I'm only gonna play for about 10 hours or so.

Games like Halo, Rainbow Six, stuff like that I'll justify the price on because I know I'm going to play the multiplayer for hundreds of hours. But for most games that I'm only going to play the single player game, I don't like to spend more than like $30 or so. That's why I've been playing some older games lately...stuff I've wanted to play but waited until I got good deals on used copies.

Yeah, I need to go back in the games catalog a few months and get skate. I played the demo of it and I thought it was really cool. I played Tony Hawk for years, and skate is soooo much better.

I play Battlefield: Bad Company and Halo a lot, so I've really gotten my money's worth out of them. I played R6V and was on a really good team that beat the #1 team on gamebattles, but I was disappointed in R6V2. It puts all the emphasis on running around and shooting instead of being tactical and coming up with good strategies. I guess it's more about individual skill instead of team skill.

Halo is my favorite series of all time; I even own the Halo 3 360. I can't even imagine how many hours I've logged into Halo 3. I, unlike many others, think Halo 3 is the best one so far, and I can't wait for the next Bungie game.

I think I might be able to squeeze more than 9 hours of Too Human, considering I'd be playing co-op and we would stretch it out as much as we could, but then again, I think we'll probably just wait for Fable 2 since we're kinda broke right now.

I agree that Halo 3 is the best Halo game there is...and probably the best console shooter of all time. I also am a HUGE Halo fan, but with that said, I haven't played Halo 3 in months. I simply got a bit tired of it this time around...that, and all the people on my friends list stopped playing it.

As far as getting more out of Too Human, it's probably possible...but I also find it a bit weak that when playing co-op, the story basically ceases to exist. It becomes just a bunch of levels that you run around killing in. No cut scenes...no story...just killing.

Oh, I didn't realize that they took the story out of co-op. It's like R6V co-op. Why would a developer think to take out the story of the game they are selling? That whole concept just doesn't make sense.

I still have a few friends who play halo. I even have a few friends in town that still play halo with me online and off. My gamertag is E R xM33Bx if you wanna play sometime. I'm not usually on until about 11:30 pm central time, though.

Cool. I'll ad you next time I'm on. I'm usually on till about 2 AM eastern time. I don't get home from work until 10 PM.

But yah, they took the story out of the co-op mode for "Too Human." It's just runnning around killing...which is cool in itself, but after playing through the co-op story in RSV2 and Halo 3, I don't think I would really enjoy playing co-op with no actual story...
