PSP, and PS3, wireless internet, Questions R' Us
First question, I recently sealed the deal on eventualy buying a PSP, I was at gamestop and saw Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for PSP and I'm always remembering the first game for PS2 I loved it. Well I bought it, it was 20 bucks, which is 50% off of it's normal price and I've been wanting a PSP for a while so I bought it. Gotta question concerning the PSP for when I do get it, how the hell will I access servers to play with other players online? Do I have to use T-Mobile hot spots like at starbucks? what's the cost?
Second question, concerns PS3 and online play, I live in a rural area, no cable lines, everything is satellite, besides our internet connection, dial-up ftl. I'm considering getting this internet from AT&T, you basically plug in the reciever to a USB port and go, my uncle has it just next door and he said he can watch vids on oyutube and such. Could I play my PS3 online with this? or would I have to get like hughes net or something?
I don't own a PS3 yet either but these are things that well ... are gonna happen, my fave games like socom and gran turismo, and not to mention another TT down the line maybe so I'm gonna get one.
Thanks for any help guys/gals

To play games over the internet on the PSP all you need is access to a wireless network with an internet connection.
As for the PS3, be sure to check the AT&T website to make absolutely certain that they don't offer you DSL. I know it's available in some areas of Lake City. What ever you do, do NOT get Hughes Net, it's quite possibly the most expensive residential service ever offered. If you don't purchase the harware the cheapest option you're looking at with them is $80/month for service that isn't even legally considered broadband. Want to purchase equipment...$300 up front (after mail in rebate LOL) and you pay $20 less per month...it's disgusting.

With a PSP, from what I know, there aren't servers you have to "access", so to speak. Any multiplayer game that's capable of being played on a wireless network will have a multiplayer option in the game's main menu. Just select, click, and you'll be partied up with others playing online.
