Default The Movie "Troy"

So, who here likes the movie "Troy" with Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, and Orlando Bloom?

It's one of those movies that the first time I watched it, I didn't really like it...but then I saw it again and thought it was pretty kick ass. Since then, every time I've watched it I have thought it was better and better.

Well, the other day I found a really awesome Director's Cut edition that came in a really cool box. It flips open on the front. It's got the extended version of the movie, an art/concept book, a section of the script, a copy of a letter from Brad Pitt to the direction team about why he didn't like the colors for the Mermidons, and a bunch of photos from the filming.

This is it right here:
Amazon.com: Troy - Director's Cut (Ultimate Collector's Edition): Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom: Movies & TV

If you're a fan of this movie, I'd highly suggest grabbing this Ultimate Edition. It's pretty ficken badass. I got mine at Best Buy for $29.99.

Thought it was a good flick. Always liked movies of that genre ie: Gladiator,
Kingdom of Heaven etc......

Hmmm, I have nothing for or against him. Have found (imo) that most of the movies
he's in are pretty good or have a good cast.

Wouldn't spend $29.99 on it. That is one for the $5 bin IMO.

Lol. Yeah, it's one of the movies I'd wait for to drop to ~$10.

It beat the hell out of Alexander, which it was supposed to compete with. Not an Orlando Bloom fan, he's just in some good movies.

Ever notice that Hollywood makes two or three of every movie being released? Like one summer we had TWO asteroid hitting the earth movies. Then we have ancient warrior films with Alexander and Troy. See that alot.

There is no creativity in Hollywood, that's for sure.

Yah, I do notice that quite a bit anymore.

"Deep Impact" and "Armageddon" are the two asteroid ones. Then not exactly the same summer, but both "National Treasure 2" and "Indy 4" had to do with cities of gold.

It's like one production company finds out that another production company has a good idea and they just copy it.

Hmmmm now I have a desire to watch a movie haha. Troy was pretty cool, but nothing will ever beat Gladiator.... it's just the best.

I really liked Troy, but it made me hate Olando Bloom. After he was such a badass in the LOTR trilogy, it sucked to see him be such a pansy in Troy. The fight scene between Brad Pitt and Eric Bana (Achilles and Hector) was one of the best I've seen.

Good movie but still thought the whole arrow through the heel was kinda cheesy and could have been done better, like if someone would have sliced it.
