i wouldnt see that much more than a teaser... but they would have had to put a lil bit of money out there in order to make it... so who knows. Im sure everything would be refined once it hits production.

If Peter Jackson has been tabbed to make this movie, he'd do a lot better. This looks like a very large student project at best.
Still, they pulled off a lot of difficult scenes and made it look good.
If a Halo movie is in the works, I'd be stoked. I'm not going to hold my breath though.

There is no Halo movie in the works at this time.
The two studios (Universal and Fox, I belive) that were backing it both pulled out right before they had to cut the check to Microsoft for the licensing and such.
Those films are a group of short films that were commissioned by Microsoft to try and garner some other studio interest in making a Halo movie. I believe that there are three of them...all of them are pretty cool.
As of this time, however, there is still no backing for a Halo movie, and I believe that I have even read that there is no current script. The script that Alex Garland (28 Days Later) wrote was reportedly scrapped for various reasons.
Now, why Microsoft even NEEDS a movie stuido to make this is beyond me. The company is one of the richest in the world. If it feels that a Halo movie would make money, it should just dig into it's own pockets and make it happen.

The Fall of Reach, The Flood, First Strike. Those were the first three, and can usually be found in a boxed set.
The Ghosts of Onyx came out in late 2006, and I belive it was the best of the four...well, the Fall of Reach was EXCELLENT though too...learning about John before he became Master Chief was way cool.
Contact Harvest does not come out until October 30th...so that's a few days off. It is set about 30 years before the events of the first Halo game, and tells the story of how the humans first came into contact with the Covenant. So, I'm guessing that it's going to be a book that leads into the game "Halo Wars."
