The thing is, I don't play much any more but I'm a die hard GTA fan and GTA4 will be coming out on both 360 and P3. I've always owned P1 and P2 so I'm used to the controls for them. Just wondering everyones thoughts. Thanks
For me it would be a PS3 b/c of Metal Gear Solid(s) Gran Turismo, Devil May Cry, and Final Fantasy. Not to mention Blu-ray. Beside all that though, the 360 has Halo BUT..it didn't keep my attention for long. Especially the multiplayer, yea the vehicles are better and work into the gameplay more but its still same old..
If you've already owned a P1 and P2 and have all the games, why not get a PS3 and be able to play all the Playstation games?
if you aren't a halo fanboy then you wont like halo....if you havent played any other halo games, you wont like halo
but theres games exclusive to the 360 that make up for a few of the things the ps3 do have...
i think everyone and their mama has gears of war...some people like it, but i couldnt get used to the style of play....
oh...
theres also a new version of the ps3 to see the stores soon...will sell for $399, but i dont think theres usb support, and theres no memory card reader either and is not backward compatible...and a few other things but i cant think of them off the top of my head

We will miss you.
I have the 360, but I'll get the ps3 when it has the games worth buying one for. I just cant see spending so much for a system so I can play a handful of "next gen" games.
I have the hddvd drive also, which is cool. Transformers hd is great.
Maybe one day the ps3 will have enough exclusives to warrant buying one.

PS3 FTW!
I had the 360 for all of a day then returned it. The $400 PS3 will have 2 USB and not 4 USB ports.
PS3 has Blu-Ray, built in WIFI, wireless controllers without the need of purchasing batteries or battery pack, free online play, and all the Playstation exclusive titles.

FYI: Halo and Resistance are quite similar.
Yah, and the free online play doesn't even come close Xbox LIVE!. As a matter of fact, the free online play is worth exactly that...nothing. Sony's attempt at creating a network to play online is absolutely horrid.
And no, Halo and Resistance are not similar. Resistance sucks. It's controls are shit and the game itself is just not fun.
I don't know why, but the Sony consoles have NEVER done FPS well. The controller doesn't "feel" good with FPS...

That's pretty much not true...
A game doesn't sell over 3 million copies in 12 days if it's a game that only fanboys will like.

i thought the 360 came with a hd dvd player. anyway, the games that are on both 360 and ps3 are usually better on the 360. rainbow six vegas has a 8.9 rating for ps3 and for xbox it has like a 9.3. same for every other game that's released for both systems. i'd go with the 360.

That's quite arguable! Correct me if I am wrong, but the PS3 online gaming is based upon the company who takes care of the servers (IE=Socom server is different from Resistance which is different then Fight Night). Everyone unbiased knows that the best server, in the history of online gaming, was/is the Socom 1 & 2 servers. I have yet to play Socom since then, but that's my opinion.

So, you are implying that because the controls are different that the game completely sucks. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think every games has different controller configurations. Have you ever looked at those to find one that better suits you? And why is the game not fun? I enjoyed what little I played of the game; I bought it for online purposes. It's just like Halo without a sword. I agree there are differences, but they are only subtle. In any event, if you are trying to compare HALO3 vs Resistance(1) then you have a better argument. Regardless, we have OPINIONS and it seems that yours is backed by no reasoning...

Nope, that's another $100 or $200 (I forget). The wifi adapter is another $100 and another accessory sticking out the back. I am not sure how much the rechargeable battery packs are, but I bet they're close to $40 each.
If you get it then get the Elite!
