^ Start rolling a little then get on the front brake and hammer the gas while letting off the front brake slightly... I can't get it to work on some bikes either though, even if they are more powerfull.
So did anybody buy a PS2 just for this game? If so, was it worth it?
I'm seriously considering getting rid of my PSP and picking up a PS2 just so I can play Tourist Trophy. (As a bonus I'll be able to play GT3/4 and all the other games I missed by having an xbox, though!)
Think its worth picking up a PS2 now with the PS3 getting ready to launch in November?
^ I did but I split the cost excluding the game with my brother. $95 bucks each for Ps2+Memory+xtra Controller.
Im glad we did because of the opportunities to play all the other games for the ps2, and I played played an old ps1 game or two but my damn ol hockey game keeps freezing up every other game(game problems unrelated to ps2).
I will defiently pick up another game within a month and rent a couple.
It was worth it to me since I only had to pay half the cost.
Full cost... hmm it depends if you really like video games or if its just a boredom thing to you. I really wish I had the money to go out and buy GT4 and a steering wheel for it but I got to buy a new tranny for my truck first so I can sell it easier
my gf is ready to pitch my PS2 out the window. This games frickin awesome.
There's some other boards where guys have the weekly TT challenge. Screenshots must be taken for proof of time. Maybe SBN could have a friendly TT challenge.....
Now I'm wondering if you are awarded a special bike if you win all the challenge bikes......I'm not sure i have the patience to win the TZ250 3 more times.
^ Yeah it took me forever to win the 250 challenge the time I won it I ran like absolute crap the first two laps was to far behind to think I even had a shot but I figured Id finish the race just to see how close I could get and I pass him It was unbelievable frustating thinking Wtf? Im happy because I got it finnallY! but It was one of the worst attempts I ever made! bah
just a quick question, does anyone else think the bikes in this game seem oddly slow or do i jsut still suck? im talking like 5+ 0-60 times for the busa. just doesnt seem right.

Yes - it feels to me like all the bikes have traction control turned on. It's an option in Gran Turismo, in fact you can set it to various percentages, but in TT you can't get any wheelspin from a standing start, the bike just takes off slowly. You can get a LITTLE wheelspin when moving by doing a stoppie and quickly rolling on full throttle with the rear wheel in the air, but it's nothing like what would really happen on a bike. I think they just did it for ease of play, it kind of fits into the simplified "spinoff" nature of the game from GT4.

KeS
that makes sense, but the bikes dont seem like they're pulling that hard at 60+ either. it just seems like everything is toned down a bit. it also seems much easier to play than moto gp3 but i definitely like this game alot better than that moto gp garbage.
