Underworld Evolution
Saw the first showing of it today before work. To put it one way, it did to the original Underworld what X-Men 2 did to X-Men 1. It kicked ass. Much better then the first. More story, more action, more nekkidness of Kate, and another open ending. I enjoyed it. I went in expecting nothing, but it has been the best movie I've seen at the movies in the last 6 months, easy.
BTW, some cool previews as well.

Saw it Friday night with a couple friends. VERY good movie.
I'm not sure if I liked the first or second better but they were both great movies so it probably doesn't matter.
Of course, as I told my wife, I could have watched the whole thing without sound and still enjoyed it Beckinsdale

I saw it the day it came out, and i totally disagree with the original poster. I loved the first movie. I thought the plot concept for the first movie was awesome, the way it manipulated your perceptions of the various characters so your opinions of their goodness/evilness totally reversed multiple times during the movie. The first one had depth. The 2nd one was just a bland action movie. Nothing much new to it, straightforward and linear story. Worth watching, but nothing special. I was fairly dissapointed. None of the new characters were at all intersting and the plot doesnt surprise you at any point.
If you wanted an in-depth movie you should have seen something more like brokeback than Loiosh. I don't think they really had any concept of that in mind when making Evolution. I agree the first certainly was far better in that aspect, but I'm gonna watch this one more when it comes out, because i like mostly naked hot chicks, lots of killing, and helicopters.... hehehe.
On another note, if you think about how many people they had to deal with, you still get a good chunk of characterization and storylines. You get the 2 brothers, another guy who is very important to that family, you get the librarian vamp, Seline's (Celine???) family history, and tons of crap.
Just depends on if you paid attention or kept reminiscene other parts. ;)
good movie and i can't wait for xmen 3 (was a preview, holy crap!)
