Dirtbike registration in CA?

Whats up guys?

My dad has an old yz250 that i want to start riding out in the desert in the next few months, well start LEGALLY riding in the desert. I dont think its ever been registered, and i was wondering if any of you guys have had to do this sort of thing. Is it a long process? Is it expensive? any help would be much appreciated. oh and im in cali

i too live in cali and i dont think it will be too big of a deal. I think since its an older 2 stroke you might get a green sticker for it

yeah i doubt it will be too hard, just trying to find out about how much im gonna have to drop on it
