Wow, I'm shocked! I had heard his contract with Yamaha was ending soon but I just assumed this was just a formality and he would resign. Anyone think he'll have the same or better success with Suzuki as he did with Yamaha?

In my mind, a rides a ride and money's moneys money. Meaning as long as someone wants him to ride, and they pay enough, he'll do it.
I personally like Chad. The sad thing is I run #22 as well, only I was doing so before he I knew who he was. lol.
The only guy in MX that I didn't care for is no longer in.
I hope he does great in 09!

It's all about money. The Factory's are making big salary cutbacks. He was supposed to be under contract till Sept. but, as soon as they announced the terms of contract wouldn't be agreed upon Reed was looking elsewhere. They parted ways and he signed w/ Suzuki. It's been announced Bubba will be taking over his San Manuel contract but, not "official" yet.
Musical sponsorships! Weeeeeeee! Wish that was the worst problem I had right now. Lmao!

lmao!! You know, now that you mention it.......
Also, Ricky and James grew up racing together. Anyone ever think about Ricky dominated on Kawi, Honda, and Suzuki. If Bubba dominates on the Yammy, I think the two of them will have made a very valid point.

Well my point was that if Bubba dominates on a Yamaha then between the two of them they would have won on every major brand except KTM and that pretty much proves it's not exactly the brand making the rider. It's the rider making the brand.
Maybe RC would have gone if not for becoming ill....... ya think?

No offense, and not tryin to debate you S.Joseph, I'd be a prick too if every championship I won people said was given to me. He stays healthy and consistant that's his game. That's part of being a smart racer. I'm not a Reed fan but, as a racer all my life I see where he's coming from.
And if you ask any pro rider...... Supercross is way, waaaaayyyyy more technical and difficult to ride than motocross. I will attest to that. Plus San Manuel just wouldn't foot the bill for him to ride outdoors. Hell, they paid him more than most riders who ride both seasons. I blame that on SM.

how did rc become ill ? he just wanted to run nascar got a better offer and way more money and to leave on top. also ive never said bikes really had anything to do with whos better because all factory bikes should be pretty close to equal only diffrence is setup and privateers.
its true that the first championship was a given with ricky out and no one was close enough to make an actual charge at the title. the 2nd i think he earned because windam was on his game but neither would of won it if stewart wasnt out plain and simple
yes supercross is intense and demanding because of the tight courses with no breaks but out doors is just as demanding. your running wide open alot higher speeds and alot longer on the bikes in some crazy summer temps. i think they should combine them and run a few supercross then some out doors or alternate. then at the end award one overall title

I think both are hard but I agree that motocross is just as hard. Especially after some rain or something like that. Ummm nice big ruts.
And im not tryin to take anything away from Reed, he's just a douche.
