here in the east coast its the other way around, the gncc's do get pretty fast though but not as fast as enduro's where the guys are wide open on fireroads etc... the enduros usually run one long lap whereas the hs's are as many as you can do in a two or three hour race - they range between 7 and 12 miles, all the gncc's average 10 or more miles a lap... the hs races are much, much more technical, with bogs, hill climbs, miles of rocks etc...
I also race d7, d5 and vchss, those are even slower and more difficult.... my bars are cut short just to give me an edge getting through the trees - where you have sections of a mile or two where you need to work your front just to squeze through, I will be racing the am race at the John Penton this weekend... my predictions for pm are as follows: Mullins, Watts, Knight, in that order, its going to be fast paced, hopefully that will slow Knight down a bit,
