Nah, the geometry isn't as good with dirt sized wheels mainly grom the gyroscope action the larger diameter wheel has. It makes it harder to turn in which off road is good becaus its not so twitchy but on road and higher speeds = serious gyro action making quick turn in very hard. Also the smaller front automaticly lowers the front putting mor weight on it for better bite. lots of small forces working behind the scenes that arent really obvious until you look hard at the components... makes perfect sense though.

Actually, in the sportsman's class they do run DOT's on stock rims. The traction is not the same. It is a lot more difficult to run on stock rims. But it's still a lot of fun AND an inexpensive way for people to try it out. 17" wheels are EXPENSIVE!!!!

It's not my fault. I'm a COW--> http://www.cafepress.com/cowa111

My uncle recently bought a new DRZ. Compared to the 650 the 400 has more power, less weight, better handling, and more aftermarket support. The 400sm is a great bike and I really should have bought one instead of my speed triple.

Few people I know loves their Zuk's, just gotta pay attention to fuel stops with the small tanks

If it wasn't for us Rednecks and N.A.S.C.A.R. there's no telling what flag or bible we would be saluting and praying to.

I'm surprised ebay isn't filled with wheels and tires for SM's.
