Default Factory is on the move

Looks like Piaggio are going to move the factory some of the Guzzi fans aren't real happy but by the sounds of things (I haven't been there) the actual building is pretty run down. Kinda sad after 89 years but as a few others have said on various forums if its between moving and closing Guzzi permatly move the thing already. Be intresting to see what happens if Guzzi are let loose with proper modern facilities. Piaggio have said Guzzi need to start making and selling 20 000 bikes a year to be viable more normal recent numbers have been under 10 000.

The factory for those who don't know is in a small village in Northern Italy on the shores of Lake Como (literally the factory has its own boat shed for the rowing team) called Mandello Del Lario where it started way back when in 1921. Its something that has pesonifyed Guzzi and confounded it as on one side is a lake the other some mountians which has made it very diffcult for expansion.
