Arrow XMRA Finish Line Newsletter, March 2005

The 2005 racing season is in bloom. AMA has replaced a staple in racing this year, going from Superbike to Formula Extreme for the 200 at Daytona. AMA Prostar is rollin down the tracks with the NHRA doing as well. For the local or regional racer, WERA, CCS and others are beginning to grid across the US.

Rider and racer safety is paramount. Education and cost-effective access into controlled environments should be of the utmost concern by everyone. Especially by those whom can truly make a difference. One's ignorance or fear of the unknown should not dictate the outcome for generations to come. Today's youth learning to ride safely will make tomorrow's champions for sure.

Mini-moto riding & safe operation

Mini-motos, especially the less expensive and easier to acquire Chinese machines. Owners and riders seem to be on the raw end of a bad rap regarding these fun machines. Unfortunately, growing numbers of mini-moto operators have been seriously injured or killed during illegal and improper operation. In California, these machines do not meet the requirements of CVC section 405, nor any other section that would make them "Street Legal" for on-highway operation. Why should our law makers take the hard-line approach seeking to propose bans and outlaw these machines from use? When educating the riders of these machines should be the "proactive" and proper approach to seek remedy for this problem.

Calling all mini-motos

Better weather is on the way. If you or your youth mini-moto rider are looking to corkscrew through the chicanes or lean it to the limits on your mini-moto. Rialto Airport Speedway has open practice available 7 days a week for only 20 Bucks! Come on out and support the only full-service, mini-moto track in Socal. They know that two wheels deserves as much fun as four.
