Cali is the root of all evil. Move to like CO instead. You'll find all the hippies you're used to, more jobs and cheaper.

Maybe. But this morning I stood in my front doorway drinking coffee and staring at the ocean. That, my friend, is great way to start the day.
Plus there are plenty of hills (though they happen to all be on fire right now) to keep a rider happy.

All of that stuff happened on weekend trips to L.A. (I was there from 1981 to 1991, for college and a few years afterward.)

Its still that way. Lack of basic things you'd think a city would have. But I have realized something; this isn't a city. Its really a small town. 100k people or so. A lot of them in retirement age. Plus there is the tourist crowd that so many of the restaurants pander to. So yeah, the quality of most things kinda sucks. You gotta pick your spots. I don't think I've been here long enough top be really saavy in the ways of finding the cool local shit. It seems to stay well hidden if it exists at all. But the climate and beaches alone make it worthwhile for now.

I spent 5 days in Vegas for business last year.
So all my food and drinks were on expense account. However, the night life is just so fake.
Everyone wants to think they are a high roller, but in reality, they most likely aren't.
You can tell the real deal from the poser very easily.

Well I remember you telling us Melissa's dork meter was low on batteries when you guys met.
Suzy put over 3k miles on it since Feb. She loves it, I have to do a valve check before she keeps going.
No bike plans as of right now. It's either an airboat or another project. I think I'm leaning toward the airboat right now.
