Well it's supposed to handle better then a Monster.
It's just a style that won't fit all.

You mean like an R6 versus a Monster?

I think it's pretty cool, but too tall for me, and I'm not ready to let go of my Monster yet anyway. Seems to me to be a good choice for all those poor saps who are too tall to fit on a Monster, but wish they were as cool as us short people. ;)

+1
I sat on one this weekend at MidOhio (it was on a rearstand, but with the tire flush with the ground)
I almost needed a step ladder to get on it.
My feet were about 3 inches off the ground.

And he's like 2 inches taller than I am. I would have needed a ladder.

Wow, I just got back from the Ducati dealership. The hypermotard fits me PERFECTLY and is what I'm looking for in a bike. I got to sit on one and it's actually about 1/2" shorter than my current ride. I'm so ready to buy one, but my wallet isn't.
1.)Upright position? Check.
2.)Lightweight? (relatively speaking) Check.
3.)Comfy seat? Check
4.)My kind of style? Definitely!
5.)Engine that fits my desire? (75-100 HP, 50-75 Torque, twin...etc) Check.
6.)Easy maintenance tire changes? Check.
7.)Attractive gauges? Check.
8.)2-up ability? Check.
...and the list goes on. I can't really believe I found a bike that fits my bill almost spot on stock. It should be plenty fast for any track days, plenty torquey for daily driving, and plenty fun during any activity. The 'higher' weight than standard Motards (which range between 275-323 lbs.) will be more useful for highway stability. My current ride is 320 and I find it a bit unstable at 80 MPH or greater, another 60 lbs. would be a blessing...plus 3-4 times the power
All in all: My version of sex on 2 wheels. (well, the legal kind)
