Actually, I think the French are more about 'dropping' weapons, instead of throwing them. Throwing might imply aggression, and the French wouldn't want that.

Like how the Napoleonic armies dropped their weapons? Or how the French armies in the First World War dropped theirs?
Or more like how we dropped our weapons in Vietnam and will be dropping them again here in a year or two?

Didn't pencil?
I didn't qualify for an interim security clearance because of my dual citizenship with the Netherlands. I have since officially abdicated it, turned in my passport, and now I have a flight physical on May 3rd.

They way you portrayed it, in your first post, it sounded like you gave up on that idea.
Good luck at the physical. My advise: don't wear that vest from your picture.

Good for you. The Netherlands is being overrun with Islamic extremists, anyway. Don't know what happened to the Viking fighting spirit, but it's gone.

After France, I stayed with my Oma in Woerden for couple weeks, and tried to enlist in the Royal Dutch Marine Corps. (the single oldest fighting unit still in existence).
But apparently you must speak Dutch.
Eventually some country has gotta let me in!

He only wants to volunteer, if it's on HIS terms. Apparently, his patriotism has limits...like no KP duty.

If I didn't get this job back in the fall of 2003 (started Jan 2004), I was going to enroll in OCS Air Force.
Wanted to be a CC.

I practically live there.
And yes, I'll volunteer on my terms. As a pilot.
I wasted my time in college if I decided to go in as an 11B grunt.

KP is a thing of the past.
Now you can enlist as a "Food Service Specialist."
