I think it depends on how its made. I know there's barley wines and meads that are brewed similarly to beer, but have different ingredients and fermentation processes. I don't think ABV has anything to do with it. There are Belgium abbey beers that can be 20-30% ABV. Sam Adams made a beer called... I don't remember... but it was 29% ABV.
Barley wines are classified by ABV and specific gravity. Brewed just like beer using the same ingredients, although you have to be careful with the strains of yeast you use due to the high ABV. Some yeast can't take it.
Meads are somewhat different...only contain honey, water, and yeast. Nasty IMO...lots of home brewers like making Mead because it showcases their skills. No hoppy flavors to hide behind. Taste like shit to me either way.
The carbonation makes you fat? This isn't Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory... this is earth.
Okay. They make me feel bloated. I don't drink a lot of carbonated drinks, normally. I know liquor has mass calories and carbs but, my body seems to process it better.

I agree. Meads are disgusting. I had a mead hangover once (a friend is into brewing) and I would sooner die a thousand deaths than experience that again. It lasted a fucking week. Puking, headaches, ball aches, everything.
Hey does anyone have an oil cooler for a Cagiva era Monster? Mine's a little ratty.
I remember looking on the DML once and the dude wanted $150 something for it. Is that high??
Oh, I have access to free powdercoating, BTW. Only small parts, though, 'cause we use a conventional oven. But we did my rearsets and brake levers and the shit came out PERFECT.

$150 for an oil cooler is actually pretty good, those things bring crazy money on ebay..
