What happened to your last office? Halloween pumpkin through the windshield?
That happened to my mom one year.
A no parking sign at 45 mph. New Year's morning 2005 I was dispatched to a county officer in a pursuit requesting back up. I threw my spikes and headed their way. 2 more patrol cars in front of me and none of running our lights as we had time to get setup before they reached our city. We came to an intersection and we were in the right hand lanes and the light turned green, car 1 and 2 went through the intersection and when I followed a Ford F-100 in the left lane cut right in front of me! It was either take it over the curb and hope for the best or hit a F-100 traveling 15 mph in the rear end. I chose the curb and went onto the sidewalk. I hit the no parking sign but missed the utility pole, chain link fence and block building. The sign came through bladed and hit the security screen behind me and missed my head by just a few inches as well as my right hand. The sign post got the bumper, hood, windshield, siren speaker cover, dashboard, security screen, radar unit, video camera system, radiator and fan shroud, either the transmission or oil pan and some of the suspension.
The good part, I didn't get my head chopped off nor a crushed right hand.

You know, In Florida the insurance company covers a damaged windshield with no deductable. Too bad you're in TN.

Shit! I wished they covered that one a little better
Said it would cost more to fix then they could get use out of it. I was getting a brand spankin new one from the 2005 fleet within a couple of months so they went ahead and retired that one.
