Both are Springfield Armory, the original..

I actually have a CMP rifle as well, as far as I can tell it was a Danish lend lease model and has a few Danish armory parts on it. It looks like it was a rack queen. The original armory was Springfield as well.

I've never seen a Rockola M1, but I have seen the M1 Carbine by Rockola. I did not know Rockola made the Garand, only the Carbine. I like those oddball models, like Smith-corona and IBM.

It might have been a Rockola Carbine, not sure. It was a few years ago.

I just looked up the list on the Springfield Armory site, Rock-Ola only made carbines, and yes, they are pretty valuable.

I would think after the 4th one it would be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway...

well, i guess so..

but there would be a difference depending if you are starting with a vienna sausage versus an uncut bologna.

some might not notice a difference until after the 8th or 9th.

The KA and I were in chicago back in October at a pizza joint in Lincoln Park called Chicago Oven Grinders.

We were finally seated and noticed this family next to us. They were out for a birthday dinner. It was a family of ten. Children ranging from age 3 to 19.

The mother was informing the waitress they wouldn't be in for a while.....

She is pregnant again.

I've heard of that place. I found the best pizza place my last couple trips out that way; it's in Addison...dammit, I can't remember the name.

It is a famous place in Lincoln Park.

It is actually across the street from the location of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre (if you dont know what this, google it. Or, I could tell you. Al Capone's gang killed off the irish gang in chicago in a garage. They dressed up as police officer's)

There are pizza joints all over chicago's.

The place you are thinking of.......is it call DiAugustino's?

Nah, it's in Elmhurst and it's called Mimmo's. Small, family-run, non-descript building. AWESOME pizza! So good, the second trip I took, I actually bought ziploc bags and took some home on the plane so my wife could try it.

Yes, I AM insane. But, with a few exceptions, pizza sucks ass on the West Coast.
